EVENT UPDATE - 13th MAY We are pleased to announce that we have introduced a second pathway to receive an invite to our upcoming flagship event on the 19th and 20th November 2022 - wildcards!! Dressage WA will seek assistance from judges and event organisers to provide feedback as to exceptional performances at targeted competitions outside of the designated Invitational events through out the qualifying period to conclude in early November in Busselton. The first wildcard target event was run by Gidgegannup Dressage Club in May and invites from that event will be announced shortly. Following in the footsteps of the much loved Indoor Championships and the success of the Master Series Finals – Dressage WA takes pleasure in presenting the inaugural “Invitational”, to be held in conjunction with the Penny Hill Park Rising Star Final and a proposed Young Dressage Horse competition (unofficial) to be confirmed in early 2022.
IN 2022 – THE “INVITATIONAL” WILL INCLUDE COMPETITOR HORSE AND PONY CLASSES FROM PRELIMINARY TO ADVANCED.
COMBINATIONS WILL SECURE THEIR INVITATION TO THE FINAL VIA THEIR PERFORMANCES AT THE FOLLOWING NOMINATED EVENTS SCHEDULED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR:
1. 22nd and 23rd January Southern Districts Dressage Club – Albany 2. 26th February WAYDRA Dressage Day 3. 3rd April Dressage WA Pony Showcase (Ponies Only) 4. 8th May Transitions Inc 5. 5th June Perth Dressage Club 6. 25th and 26th June Serpentine HPC – Jill Stanton Memorial 7. 2nd July Bunbury H&PC 8. 9th and 10th July Brookleigh Dressage Club Hi Point Series Final 9. 13th and 14th August GCEC Championship Event 10. 3rd– 5th September WA State Dressage Championships 11. 17th and 18th September Orange Grove Dressage Gala 12. 15th and 16th October Swan River Dressage 13. 5th and 6th November Sharyne Alberts Memorial - Busselton
Please note the following criteria:
It is a combination that secures the invitation to the Final;
Although it is possible that a combination may secure an invitation to the Final across more that 2 levels, it will only be open to the combination to accept the invitation and complete at the Final at 2 levels only (as per the ADR).
A place at the Invitational will only be secured if scores at the relevant nominated event are achieved of 62% (for Preliminary and Novice), 60% (for Elementary) and 58% (for Medium and Advanced).

Competitor Horse Classes
The winner (or the next placegetter who has not secured at invite to Final) of the highest level class offered at nominated events 1 and 2, 4 – 9, 11 – 13 will secure an invite to the Invitational Final for 2022.
Both tests (excluding freestyles) at each level at 2022 WA State Dressage Championships will secure invites for Invitational Final 2022 for the top 3 combinations (who have yet to be invited to the Final).
Entry fees for the Invitational will be $55 plus levies
Competitor Pony Classes
Dressage WA encourages each nominated event to offer Pony classes in their schedules and, assuming that they are offered, the winner (or the next unqualified placegetter) of the highest level class offered at each qualifying event 1 and 4 – 9, , 11 – 13 will secure an invite to the Invitational Final 2022.
Both tests at each level at the 2022 Pony Dressage Showcase and at the 2022 WA State Dressage Championships (excluding Freestyles) will secure invites for successful combinations to the Invitational Final 2022 with the top 2 (who are yet to be invited) at the Pony Dressage Showcase and the top 3 (who are yet to be invited) at the State Dressage Championships to be invited.
Entry fees will be $55 plus levies
FEI Classes
There will be no qualification criteria and entries will be accepted from all competitors at these levels (subject to EA and FEI criteria).
The followings levels with be offered: Prix St George Inter 1 Intermediate A Grand Prix
Entry Fees will be $77 plus levies
Para Equestrian may be included in the Schedule – Dressage WA will advise of same early in 2022 after consultation with the Para Equestrian Committee.
